Sweet Barbeque Pulled Pork! Looks divine!
Happy Day! I’m Sandra over at A Dash of Sanity, I am happy to be here while some of my friends from BeBetsy are on vacation.
Our family loves barbecue sauce! Loves!
Especially my two daughters, Jordan (8) and Jersey (5), who claim that anything doused in barbecue sauce, will be and is, their favorite.
I usually make this recipe using chicken, but since my boys and hubby love pork, I thought I would change it up and use our favorite barbecue chicken recipe, and instead make it with pork. And it was a hit. I found that I even liked it better than the chicken, as the pork was so juicy.
It make great sandwiches, and the leftovers will make a great lunch. Easy to serve as a family dinner or even to a large crowd.
The best part of this dinner, was the cute barbecue faces on my kids. And so from our messy faces to yours, enjoy my girls and I’s favorite barbecue pork slow cooker recipe.
Sweet Barbecue Pulled Pork
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 4 hours
Total Time: 4 hours, 5 minutes
3 lb. pork loin, thawed
1 – 18 ounce bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
½ cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 – 12ounce jar of Peach Preserves
Place your crock pot on low, add pork loin. Then mix all of the rest of the ingredients together and pour sauce mixture over the top of the pork. The toss the sauce to coat.
Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until the pork is falling apart and tender.
Serve with bread, cover it with cheese, on top of a salad or rolled up in a tortilla, so many things to do with this amazing dish.
Kid’s reviews: Evidence it was a successful meal: Seconds and thirds were requested!
