Supplies (check out Etsy, Amazon and retail craft stores)

  1. Start by printing the images on an 8.5″ x 11″ inch paper. I typically like to use a paper that is a bit thicker, slightly heavier than regular printer paper. Cut your designs out to fit the size of your glass by using an exacto knife. The design is created to be slightly smaller than the glass. Round the edges of the printed design ever so carefully-just a bit.
  2. Clean the glass tiles to remove fingerprints and dirt by using a damp cloth (paper towel may leave residue) and allow to dry completely.
  3. Use a sheet of wax paper to cover your work surface since glue doesn’t stick to it. GREAT TIP!
  4. Apply a layer of Diamond Glaze or Mod Podge on the tile, lay the cut image facing down and push ever so gently. Sometimes glass tiles have a frosted side so make sure you apply the glue to the frosted side.
  5. Wipe off the excess glue with toothpick and dry paper towels. Turn the tile over and press down on the glass tile hard to allow the layer of glaze to even out. Allow to dry completely for approximately 30 minutes to an hour.
  6. On the back side of the pendant apply another layer of glaze over the back of the paper to seal it. Diamond Glaze is great because you only need one layer. If you are using Mod Podge you’ll need to brush it on several times and allow it to dry between each coat. You want to protect the edges so make sure you apply a little glaze. Use a toothpick and paper towel to wipe off excess glaze or glue. If air bubbles appear in the glaze use a toothpick to pop them. Let it completely dry for approximately 5-6 hours.
  7. At the top of pendant glue on the bail. Use a toothpick to apply a pea size amount of E6000. If you are using super glue be aware that it starts drying immediately on contact so it is hard to move around.
  8. Let it dry for about an hour. Add a beautiful chain or a complimentary ribbon.

Here’s a video I found from GlazeGlassJewellery on YouTube that should
help you through the process.
Have FUN!
