Hard Sider Sangria

I love to mix up a great drink for friends and family! Fall means apples and here’s a delicious idea to incorporate one of our favorite fruits into a beautiful and perfect-for- autumn refresher.

Fruit and Hard Cider

While this is an apple-based drink, it also includes the perfect compliment of lemons and oranges with a splash of rum or brandy and a bottle of hard cider.  There are many ciders to choose from and this Hornsby Hard Cider was crisp and perfect.

Enjoy!

Hard Cider Sangria

In a pitcher, combine 1 cup quartered and thinly sliced apples, with 1 quartered and thinly sliced navel orange.  Add 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice and, if you like, add thinly sliced lemon as well. Add 1 cup chilled apple juice and 1/4 cup brandy or rum.  Keep cold until ready to enjoy. Just before serving add 22 – 24 ounces of hard apple cider.

For a perfect service, put fruit slices in the bottom of each glass, stack with ice and pour on your Sangria.  Beautiful!  Flowers are optional.

I love this sangria idea. I love the apple juice (or apple cider) and rum combo. That is one of my favorite drinks all on it’s own, adding everything else just makes it even better. I’m pinning this for later. Found this through Show Stopper Saturday.

  9. Mindie says:
