Scotch is a drink near and dear to me. It’s my go-to. Almost nothing in the world of drink compares to the pleasure of sipping a good dram – neat, rocks, and now dessert.
I recently discovered Cranachan. A traditional Scottish dessert of whipped heavy cream, raspberries, honey, toasted oatmeal and, yes, scotch.
Cranachan is simple, delicious and one of the few Scotch/dessert pairings I’ve found. I’ll be whipping up another batch come next Christmas. Perhaps a dollop atop my fathers homemade Baileys? I’m sure that breaks all sorts of rules but…
The recipe for Scottish Cranachan can be found here.
I made this dessert! It’s a beautiful presentation when using a nice glass and the flavors get better if you make it a few hours ahead of time. Thanks Jackson! portofentree.com

We had this at Christmas but it would be good everyday! I love Glenlivet so I pour a little extra on the top. There was a lot of extra whipped cream with the scotch in it left over and every morning and afternoon for three days I put a big ol dollop in my strong coffee and ….well needless to say I was happy!
