Tell us about yourself.
Am I an artist? Not really. I am more of a matchmaker… with paper. I search high and low for printed papers of all kinds and then arrange (and rearrange) the colors and patterns to make a variety of handmade home office products! A great way to spend the day!
When did you discover your creative talents?
I used to paint when my parents sent me to my room. Not on paper or canvas. I would paint my room. Five dot flowers with paint roller ball pens covered everything… window panes, telephones, switch-plates and more. I had a handmade jewelry business in high school, made post cards in college, was a caterer and now Crown Bindery. Even dinner for me is an opportunity for creative expression!
How did I come up with this idea?
I love office supplies. I love color and patterns. I need to be organized to stay on top of our many responsibilities. Combining craft, organization and home office has been a dream come true!

Join me in my handmade home office! The place I create, dream, love and work. Some people call it the front bedroom! But it is wonderful light filled space and the colors in my papers really pop in the bright sunlight streaming through the windows. I turn on Pandora or a movie from Netflix and I truly get lost in the color of the day. Before I know it, hours have passed by!
My dreams for my business.
I hope Crown Bindery continues to grow and thrive! I am designing papers now that the scrapbook trend is winding down. I have been unable to find the colors and patterns that I want and need in my line, so I have turned to my computer to create exactly what I want. I love that I can now dream up and then produce my own color combinations and patterns. Classic with a twist, fresh, updated and always curious. That is where I want to be in life and in business.
Apart from creating, what else do I do?
I married my college sweetheart 21 years ago. We have three daughters and live in Austin TX. I manage the office of a busy stationery business most of the day and fulfill orders, design paper and surf the web a few hours each afternoon. I cook dinner almost every night, help with homework and driving to activities and fall into bed each night completely wondering where the day went!
