My fave type of clothing

Summer is here and it’s time to shop!  However I am forcing myself to stay on my spending plan so I can do the things I’ve put on my dream list.  I do love to wander through stores! Sometimes it even pays off!

While I live in a nice, quiet area of my city away from the noise and traffic, it’s only a short drive to a bevy of shopping options.   West Elm, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Dillards, Nordstroms, REI – some of my personal faves.   However yesterday I was lazy so I popped over to the local Ross about 5 minutes away in hopes of finding a little top or sandals or even cool glasses or other housewares for cheap.

So excited to say that I was rewarded for my time!

First of all this beautfiul little lace number from Max Edition is perfect!  I let out a little scream when I saw it and a whimper of happiness in the dressing room.  Which rarely happens as dressing rooms always make me whimper in another way.  Suffice it to say, it’s was a steal at $26.99.  That’s right!  No lie.

I was recharged by this find and hoped my luck would hold out in the shoe department.  For anyone who has every been in a Ross shoe department you’ll understand when I say….Yikes!  It’s messy, no matches, no correlation of size on shelf tag to size of shoes there….you get the picture.  But sometimes you have to be adventurous to be rewarded and I was!  These white Nicole leather sandals with the perfect little flowers and ankle strap are…..cute….is the word that comes to mind.

The sandals are perfect to pair with toes painted a golden bronze to match my skin (ok, this last part is a huge exaggeration but my nails are indeed a bold, bronze color.)

Love the pinkish hue of the Revlon but the Sally Hansen’s bronze polish is my fave goddess-toe look.

Just when I think I am the luckiest shopper of the day I find this……….

My Favorite Summmer Dress!

It’s soft and cool and flowing and feels like a breeze of summer as you walk.  The red and blue against the pale pink is striking but not crazy.   Now you will faint when I tell you this Jonathan Ward dress was crammed in between other bargains and it was a whopping……ready?…… $9.99.    You can’t get a good wine for $9.99 and yet I snagged this dress for a song so I could feel like a breeze of summer.  Ah……. someone bring me a margarita.

All in all the time was well-spent. (Double entendre? May be my first!)   I gave up so little to get so much and I may be one step closer to my big dreams.

Tell us all about your great finds!  We may even publish your story and pics!
