Nature offers so many ways to enhance your beauty!
Start with a coconut. It has long been an important food source for people in tropical areas of the world including India where it is considered essential cooking oil. Nearly every part of the coconut palm can be put to good use.
Coconut oil is aromatic and versatile. It is used in baking, making sauces, in stir-fry and in body care! The oil comes from the pressing of the fruit of the coconut palm tree.
Massage coconut oil it into dry, chapped hands for wonderfully soft (not sticky) skin or warm it up and use it as massage oil. Rub it into your hair and scalp for deep conditioning and shine.
Try Dr. Bonner’s MAGIC ALL ONE! It’s made by a women’s co-op in Sri Lanka to help pay for hospital equipment, schools and utilities. It’s even good for inner health. Field research in the tropics shows that people who follow a traditional diet high in coconut oil enjoy excellent cardiovascular health!
Tea is great to drink but even better for your hair. Give your locks a brightening with tea treatment. Tea is thought to reduce hair’s pH and closes the hair cuticle which means lots of shine. Its natural pigments can reduce that red brassiness of hair.
Chamomile Tea is best for blondes and redheads while Black Tea is said to work wonders on brunettes. Boil the tea bag in water for a few minutes, let cool to room temperature and massage into wet, clean hair. Leave on for 10 minutes than wash and condition.
Might as well buy a good tea and a lovely teapot so you can enjoy a cup while getting beautiful!
And then there are berries! Did you know that they make a wonderful, natural facial?
Wash a handful of strawberries and mash them in a bowl until soft. Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey and massage the mixture onto your face with a small circular motion for 2 – 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water and you’ll see brighter skin!
Be sure to set a few aside to munch on and reward yourself for looking and feeling better!
